SAFEGUARD YOUR PROPERTY
Why Lead Abatement is Essential
Lead exposure, through contact with lead-containing materials, can result in severe health problems and even death. These health concerns include anemia, damage to the brain and nervous system, convulsions, and coma. Children are particularly susceptible to lead poisoning due to their developing bodies and increased lead absorption.
Due to the severe health risks and the fact that there is no known safe level of lead exposure, it is imperative that homeowners and contractors take immediate action to identify and safely remove lead-containing materials from their properties. This will significantly reduce the risk of lead exposure and protect your health.
DID YOU KNOW?
Lead was attributed to 1.5 million deaths globally in 2021, with an estimated 273,000 Canadians exposed to lead in their workplaces.

Lead Testing and Levels of Lead
Your safety is our top priority. We combine both lead testing and a hazardous materials report to confirm the presence and risk level of lead.
Lead Testing
Lead testing is conducted by:
- Collecting bulk samples for analysis
- Submitting samples to a certified laboratory
- Receiving a report with results from the laboratory
Lead is often found in older buildings and on metal structures (particularly in paint), and in soil. Lead containing paints can contain anywhere from 0.009% to 50% lead by weight. Testing for lead is important to mitigate the serious and irreversible health risks associated with lead exposure.
